Call for Participation
ACAI-01 is jointly organized by the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), the Czech Society for Cybernetics and Informatics (CSKI) and the Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (ÖFAI) in cooperation with ECCAI and AgentLink, the European Network of Excellence for Agent-Based Computing. The ACAI-01 course will present the current state of the art in theoretical foundations of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) as well as demonstrate the applicability of these systems in many practical tasks. The presentations will highlight different aspects and viewpoints of this recently established and very active scientific field. The course will be formed by

The student sessions will provide an opportunity to present results and discuss student work in progress. Students are invited to submit research contributions or practical experience reports related to the following topics: (i) Theoretical Foundations, (ii) Architectures and Negotiations, (iii) Applications. Each invited lecturer was asked to summarize his/her mini-course into a paper. The resulting papers are published in the volume LNCS 2086 and LNAI 2322 (including selected papers of the student sessions and of the AEMAS 2001 workshop) in the Springer Verlag Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence Series.
