Nature Inspired Technology Group
Living systems are able to find quickly sub-optimal solutions to many complex problems as well as to adopt to changing conditions. Learning, gradual change of the genome in the long sequence of populations, efficient processing and interpretation of massive data - these are typical properties which seem to be useful even for selected man-made products and machines. Our aim is to understand the corresponding principles and re-use them in technical domains with the intention to create smart man-machine systems which can adapt to the needs of their users or ensure some complex tasks up to now requiring human attendance.
