Topic:Population size adaptation in evolutionary algorithms
Department:Katedra kybernetiky
Supervisor:Ing. Petr Pošík, Ph.D.
Announce as:Bakalářská práce, Semestrální projekt
Description:The population size is one of the most important parameters of evolutionary algorithms that affects their performance. There are several existing approaches for adapting the population size during the run of the algorithm (Parameter-less GA, Population pyramid, etc.). The goal of this project is to compare these methods for a chosen type of an evolutionary algorithm and for a chosen class of problems, or to develop your own population size adaptation mechanism and assess its pros and cons.
