Popis:Electronic delivery book (EDB) is an information system for collection of information and data in a gynecology and obstetrics department starting that records admission of a woman in labor, delivery process, condition of newborn after delivery and neonatology. This application is currently deployed in Gynecology-obstetrics department of Faculty hospital in Brno and number of records is gradually increased (currently contains circa 500 records).
Nowadays, the EDB contains only basic functions for searching and filtering the records and a tool for a simple statistical report. In the current phase of the project it is necessary to add additional tools for creation of more sophisticated overview and statistics. Moreover, a tool that allows comparison among records and finding similar records is needed. Such tool has to allow automated organization (clustering) of records into groups and “classification” of the records. For this purpose, it is necessary to find appropriate methods for comparison of records and their organization (clustering) based on the results of their comparison. These tools can be included in the EDB application or can be created separately.
In this project you can participate on selection of appropriate methods for required functions, design and implementation of the functions in the system (both application and, if necessary, the database) and creation of graphics interfaces for all systems.
Pokyny:The project contains the following tasks:
1. Getting acquainted with the application Electronic delivery book (EDB). It is also necessary to get basic knowledge about the areas and terminology from obstetrics and neonatology.
2. Design and implementation of a system for creating data overview and statistics, especially for the combination of various conditions.
3. Implementation of a user-friendly, interactive graphics interface for overview and statistics systems: creation and presentation (also including export data and results).
4. Selecting appropriate methods for comparison and organization (clustering) of deliveries.
5. Design and implementation of system for comparison of delivery (linked with overview system)
6. Implementation of user-friendly, interactive graphics interface for comparison and organization of delivery and transparent viewing of results.
