Popis:The Raspberry Pi single-board computer embeds a graphic card that includes a motion estimation block normally used to evaluate frame changes during hardware encoding. The vectors of this motion estimation block can be obtained directly from the GPU and allow a hardware estimation of the sensor displacement. By combining this information with a depth-sensor one can estimate the robot velocity, thus the position. The aim of the work is to implement an odometry sensor based on this solution, in the way of a PX4Flow sensor.
Expectations: basic knowledge in C/C++. The communication with the supervisor and the written report can be in English or in Czech.
