Popis:Our team has just qualified for the sponsored participation in Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge [1]. It is an international robotics competition, to be held every two years with total prize and team sponsorship of USD 5 Million. We will compete in two different challenges, where UAVs (e.g. quadrocopter) have to solve autonomously a set of complex tasks. The first challenge requires UAV to locate, track and land on a moving cross-marked vehicle. The second challenge requires a team of UAVs to collaborate to search, locate, track, pick and place a set of static and moving colored objects with various aspect ratios (disc-like or bar-like objects are expected). One of the key component of the autonomous pipeline is vision. We are seeking exceptional candidates with expertise in computer vision and low-level programming languages to join our vision team.

Minimum qualification:
- C or better result achieved in a programming oriented subject.
- Good knowledge of programming in C/C++ or Python.

Preffered qualification:
- B or better result achieved in a programming oriented subject or even better: the active participation in a programming competition [2],[3] (e.g. CTU Open Contest, ACM ICPC).
- B or better result achieved in a computer vision oriented subject.
- experience with OpenCV [4].
- experience with ROS [5].
- good mathemathical background.

Five member team is assumed to consist of 3 vision researchers/developers (responsible for (i) cross-marker detection for the first challenge, {ii} detection of disc-like colored objects and (iii) bar-like colored objects for the second challenge), 1 tester (responsible for independent and critical evaluation of vision algorithms) and 1 team leader (responsible for the overall system design and reliability, the internal and external team communication, results presentations and the final report).
