The international team behind the Visual Object Tracking (VOT) initiative, with Professor Jiří Matas as one of its key figures, has received the 2026 PAMI Mark Everingham Prize. The prestigious award, recognising outstanding contributions to the computer vision community, was presented to the team on 12 September at ECCV 2026 in Malmö, Sweden. The award recognises more than a decade of work on workshops and challenges that have fundamentally shaped how visual object tracking methods are developed and evaluated today.
More information about the award is available on the Faculty website.
