Professor Jiří Matas has been awarded the 2026 IAPR King-Sun Fu Prize, one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of pattern recognition.
The prize, awarded by the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), recognizes Prof. Matas for seminal contributions to evidence aggregation in geometric computer vision.
Prof. Matas received the award at the International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR 2026) in Lyon, France, where he also delivered the King-Sun Fu Prize Lecture.
Prof. Matas is internationally recognized for his pioneering contributions to computer vision and visual recognition and has been a leading researcher in these fields for many years.
