Miroslav Korbelář presents Polynomial proof of the Borsuk-Ulam theorem

On 2016-06-02 15:00:00 at G205, Karlovo náměstí 13, Praha 2
The talk will be introduced, as poetically as ever, by Prof. P.Ptak. The
theorem
says, in its application, that at any given time there are antipodal places on
Earth that have the same temperature and air pressure. Apparently this has
nothing to do with polynomials and that is what makes it interesting.
