Dear all,

Allow me to invite you at the last minute to a seminar next Monday by Professor
Philippe Giguere from the Northern Robotics Laboratory, Université Laval,
Québec, Canada.

The abstract of his talk is:
Situated at the threshold of boreal forests and sub-arctic landscapes, the
Northern Robotics Laboratory (Norlab) is uniquely positioned to advance the
frontiers of field robotics in extreme conditions. This seminar offers an
overview of our recent work in terrain perception, robot-terrain interaction
modeling, and SLAM in unstructured, challenging environments, alongside novel
datasets designed for robust off-road navigation. The second half of the
presentation will explore the intersection of autonomous robotics and forestry,
demonstrating how advanced perception systems can drive its automation.
