Description:Evolutionary algorithms are optimization methods applicable to a broad class of problems. However, compared to other, more specific methods, they are slower. One opportunity to increase their speed is to take advantage of their ability to solve several optimization problems at once (multitasking). The goal of this project is to explore this possibility for symbolic regression tasks, i.e. for machine learning problems where the goal is to find a symbolic mathematical expression fitting the available data.
