Topic:Design and realisation of a system for autonomous control of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)

Description:The aim is to extend the current system for control of teams of unmanned aerial vehicles with additional functionalities required by end-users and using the newest sensors available. The task will include most of the aspects of intelligent and mobile robotics. Students could select tasks of motion planning, perception, sensor fusion, onboard computer vision, path planning, high-level planning, task allocation, control, obstacle avoidance, swarming, etc. Particular tasks and the robotic scenario will be designed during an initial meeting based on the number, expertise, and interest of enrolled students. The topic is proper for a small team of students as well as for larger teams (more sub-tasks will be selected). Software tasks, hardware tasks, as well as tasks combining both, SW and HW, can be selected.
