Description:The aim of this project is to review, implement, and compare algorithms for the extraction of features from 3D laser data. Apart from common geometric features (planes, edges, etc.), laser-feature descriptors (FLIRT, etc.) and semantic features will be studied. The student will study and implement the feature extraction/detection algorithms and will compare their performance on data provided by the supervisor. The work will include a review of related literature recommended by the supervisor.
