Description:The objectives of the project are to construct a heavy-payload drone (UAV) capable of sustaining dynamic backfire from discharging of fire extinguishment capsules. The task includes designing, modeling, constructing, and verifying a unique aerial platform capable of carrying of heavy-weight payload with varying mass (max 20 kg). The design will include the integration of electronics required for aerial autonomy (flight controller, motors, ESCs, power distribution, a processing unit, sensors, GPS module) and interface for PC<->payload communication. The flight performance of such an extreme vehicle will be verified in manually-operated real-world experiments.
