Popis:A professional 3D printer Fortus 450 is available in Testbed for Industry 4.0 in CIIRC. A system is needed that allows reservation of the machine for specific tasks, monitoring and management of the consumables with relation to each task etc. The system must be modular with clear interfaces so that it can be integrated into different systems. There are the following possibilities:
- standalone application
- ABRA ERP System
- Siemens Teamcenter PLM software
- Siemens NX software

The team is not required to know all these environments but to be ready to implement a suitable interface and communication functionality in cooperation with a team at the other side.
Pokyny:1. Design the software architecture with special focus on the modularity and various communication interfaces.
2. Formulate the printer reservation as a scheduling problem. Find and adapt a suitable algorithm that can reserve the printer as a resource for a given task based on different criteria such as availability of the consumables, requested deadline, priority etc.
3. Study the possibilities of the printer interface and design a solution how to inquire the printer for information, how to get details about the printing tasks and possibly also how to start or stop the printing tasks.
4. Implement the application and integrate it with the selected environment (ABRA, Teamcenter etc.).
