| Abstract: |  The goal of this work is to try to develop a method for segmenting satellite images of
pastures where the objects of interest is the cattle. The motivation for this work is given
by a previous research on topic of magnetic alignment of large mammals. Theory on image
segmentation and Markov random fields is used. Unfortunately a completely satisfactory
solution is not found, but there’s hope that with arrival of higher resolution satellite images,
the results could become reuseable in the future.
