Abstract: | This work focuses on surface reconstruction from oriented point clouds
gained by scanning objects using the Kinect sensor and modified for use
in the Reconbench benchmark. It also divides methods used for surface
reconstruction and describes some of them more closely. Then, the given
methods are evaluated and compared using Reconbench. After a com-
parison of the results, the method with the best behavior on the testing
datasets is selected. This method is modified to be executable in the
PCL library, which collects algorithms aimed at surface reconstruction,
visualization and other methods for collecting and processing point cloud
data.
