Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to create a comprehensive model of the human physiology which can simulate the behavior of the human organism and selected pathophysiologies and also a model of a medical ventilator with a suitable interface for a connection to our model of the human physiology. The emphasis is focused on a clarity and a synoptic of implementation – the structure of the model must correspond to the structure of the real physiological system of the human body. For this reason models are implemented acausally through a modeling language named Modelica. The metod of this implementation is an innovative approach in models development and shows clearly the merit and the possibilities of a wide application not only in the study area but also in medicine, industry etc. Our model of the human physiology allows to simulate the behavior of the human body and in a connection with the model of medical ventilator forms an ideal training simulator which is also easily extended with additional elements, eventually models due to its method of implementation.
