| Abstract: |  The main focus of this work is on hybrid clouds and web applications running in hybrid cloud mode. This thesis provides a method to decide, whether it is more economical to run an application in multiple locations in hybrid cloud mode with all database acceses going through an internet line or replicate the database. This thesis further specifies metrics and variables used in the decision method. Moreover, a profiling process on how to perform measurements and collect the mentioned variables is explained. The work finishes with method being tested on two of the most common web applications.
