| Abstract: |  TimeToGo is an Android application that helps with time management during travel. Its primary goal is to avoid delay, which may be caused by bad time management before travel or inaccurate estimation of distance and path. It is designed for people who walk, especially for those who take the same path regularly (e.g. to work, to school etc.) and often arrive late. The user sets the starting point and the destination point, the app then calculates the shortest path. Afterwards, the user sets a daily plan, for example, saying they need to arrive on Monday at 7:55. The app then enables him or her to choose their own speed (such as relaxed walk or quick walk). Based on the chosen speed, it returns the required departure time, for example, 7:35. On the given day, the app reminds the user that in some time, for example, in 10 minutes, it’s time to go. On the way, the app tracks the user’s GPS position and speed and compares it to the planned speed and position. In case it calculates that the user is going to be late, it sends out a notification. |
