Abstract: | The aim of the work presented is an analysis of existing software architectures for controlling intelligent agents in virtual environments and consequently a synthesis of the appropriate control architecture and its integration with software platform Tactical AgentFly (TAF). For purposes of control of intelligent virtual agents representing population in an urban environment, several existing agent architectures were tested. Implementation of the original system Lightweight Reactive Planner (LRP) afterwards appeared to be the most appropriate solution. This architecture was successfully integrated into the TAF platform and verified by several experiments performed.
