Department of Cybernetics Celebrates Six Newly Funded GAČR Projects

The Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR), as the most important provider of support for basic research projects in the Czech Republic, will begin funding six standard projects led by researchers and their teams from the Department of Cybernetics starting next year. We congratulate all the principal investigators whose efforts contributed to the high number of grants awarded to our department.

These grants are:

doc. Martin Saska – Sensing abstract behavioural patterns to allow coordinated fast response to disruptions in multi-robot systems

dr. Vojtěch Franc – Uncertainty-Aware Machine Learning Models for Open-World Decision-Making

dr. Vojtěch Vonásek – Sampling methods for motion planning and control using learned spaces

dr. Giulia D’Angelo – Neuromorphic active vision for embodied object perception (PIONEER)

prof. Jan Kybic – Leveraging expert knowledge for medical image segmentation

doc. Georgios Tolias – Instance-level Visual Recognition and Generation
