Congratulations to Dominika Burešová from the Machine Learning group, who received the Josef Hlávka Award for 2025 for her contributions to the Theory of quantum logics.
Dominika began her research during her Bachelor’s studies in the Open Informatics program under the supervision of Prof. Pavel Pták and in collaboration with Prof. Mirko Navara. She is a laureate of several national and international awards, the lead author of numerous papers published in peer-reviewed international journals, and has presented her results at many conferences both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Dominika also belongs to the prestigious International Quantum Structures Association and is involved in evaluation and peer-review activities—regularly reviewing for top journals in the field, including Order, and serving on the Mathematics & Physics jury of The Global Undergraduate Awards in 2025.
The Josef, Marie, and Zdenka Hlávka Foundation annually recognizes the best students and graduates from Prague universities, the Brno University of Technology, and young scientists from the Czech Academy of Sciences.
