Description:Air hockey is a popular game in which two players are trying to get a puck into an opponent’s goal. The players are using mallets to hit the puck sliding on a special flat low-friction surface. The designed system should be able to play against a human player automatically. The project should cover:

- Design the hardware – motors, belts, drivers, camera,… (some parts are already available on the market)
- Computer vision algorithm for measurement of the puck’s position
- Algorithm for a computer player – it can be based on simple rules as well as artificial intelligence techniques.

Similar system has been already built and it is licensed as open source and open hardware https://youtu.be/CjzSeOg8oTs. It is possible to take advantage of the available design and the source code. The automatic air hockey could be designed also in such a way it would allow a match of two computer algorithms.
