Description:Air hockey is a popular game in which two players are trying to get a puck into an opponent’s goal. The players are using mallets to hit the puck sliding on a special flat low-friction surface. The designed system should be able to play against a human player automatically. The project should cover:

- Design the hardware – motors, belts, drivers, camera,… (some parts are already available on the market)
- Computer vision algorithm for measurement of the puck’s position
- Algorithm for a computer player – it can be based on simple rules as well as artificial intelligence techniques.

Similar system has been already built and it is licensed as open source and open hardware It is possible to take advantage of the available design and the source code. The automatic air hockey could be designed also in such a way it would allow a match of two computer algorithms.
