Computer scientists from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University are among the top scientists in Europe based on the ranking of the best institutions in the field of Computer Science. Also, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering /CTU/ has been the best workplace in the field of informatics in the Czech Republic for a long time; CSRankings is a ranking of the best institutions in the field of computer science worldwide, based on an exact evaluation of publications in top scientific journals.
According to the international ranking Research.com, which evaluates the success of computer scientists on the basis of their H-index, citations, and the number of documents collected by December 6, 2021, the best-rated Czech computer scientist is prof. Jiří Matas from the Department of Cybernetics. The success of CTU is underlined by the fact that it has three representatives among the first four leading scientists of the Czech republic – dr. Josef Šivic (CIIRC CTU) is the second and doc. Tomáš Pajdla (CIIRC CTU and FEE CTU) is in the fourth.
